Program Notes

I have long been fascinated by the sight of a bonsai. Within a small ceramic bowl, a few twisted branches reach toward the sky, their faint shadows falling upon grass and stone. It mirrors the vastness of nature and hints at an infinite universe where imagination quietly ignites.

This piece unfolds in three movements—independent yet intertwined—tracing the life of a growing bonsai: I. shaping the simple bowl, II. sprouting branches and leaves, III. revealing an enigmatic and radiant world.
