Program Notes

Post-Pandemic Memo is a mixed piece with theatrical elements, originally inspired by a personal period of mental fluctuation during COVID-19. It is also an introspective work that reflects on how people’s voices were dampened, muted, and “canceled” during the global pandemic—through the use of connotations of the censor beep sound, performer’s gestures, and masks as both visual and auditory props.
